RUMOR: Solskjaer ready for United return

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dealt Michael Owen's chances of joining Manchester United a blow with news that he is close to a first-team return.
Solskjaer, who scored United's injury-time goal to win the Champions League in 1999, has endured a miserable two seasons with a knee injury. It had been feared he might retire from the game.

However, after last night's 6-1 win over Royal Antwerp, Ferguson revealed Solskjaer is not too far away from a comeback and could even be available for selection when United head to Everton for their opening Premiership game on August 13.

This won't affect their deal for Owen, if they decide to pick him up I'm sure ownership will pay out. United are however starting to free up some salary, it has started with one of the Neville boys (move to Everton). Should be some interesting shakeups still to come in the next week and 1/2.
