| Hello everyone...a few unprofessional comments from me... I was watching some matches yesterday... Myskina looked like she liks this surface, her movement on court was pretty well, her forehand looked strong. She hit some really great shots from the baseline.Unfortunatelly she's strugglin' at her serve, ahe made too many DF, what caused she to defend to be not broken. But she didn't have an opponent today, who was capable to do that. I have to admit, I put some moneys on Stephanie (I have never seen her before). I thought that if she could win over Karatantcheva in qualies, she probably can hit th balls hard. I think I was right, but the main problem I noticed about her she didn't belive she could win, and gave up at the start of the match. Safina - Myskina I didn't watch Safina's match. Although Nastya has a problems with serves, I think she will be tough to be defeaten, so I don't see any values on Safina. About Schnyder. It was the first time I saw this girl playing really awesome. She was focused for all the match, and didn't give any chance for Ana. I thought Ivanovic won't be playing at her normal level (after injury, and surgeying), but I was wrong, she played what she can play. But lack of experience speaks for itself... Schnyder over Hantuchova@1.71 1.5 units For sure it can be a tough match. It's all depend on Daniela's play, cuz she is known she can plays really great tennis one day, and on the second plays like..."I'm a blunt gettin smoked and I can't wake up"... No matter..enough nerves I lost cheering for Danka, it's time to change a ship for me. I'm on Patty today. I also watched Dechy - Molik's match. She's on a decent form, hits some good shots, played well today. But it was not only her job for a win, Alicia helped her, making too many errors (sometimes even three metters out of the lines). I could say Alicia is still out of confidence (?). She looked sometimes like she forhet how to hit the ball (now I'm not suprise that she lost against Diaz lately). But I think her play is enough to play some good matches in doubles. Dechy - Dementieva Have no idea what will happen here. I could bet: break after break. Two good returners ( Elena seems to be little better). If Elena will be seving quite well, I mean not to give "free" balls, without DF's (what is impossible) I would give her more credits to win. But bet on her, and then get heart attack, wathcing her broken...no bet for me, but I will fully enjoying the match, and will be cheering for her of course. I hope I will help a little in your choices, but it's only my thoughts you can disagree with me. I would like to thank everyone for a welcome here, and will be glad we can share some thoughts and picks in the future. Good luck to all ![]() |

| Welcome to the forum and thanks for the insight. I too believe Dementieva can beat Dechy, Elena has really worked on her serve and it showed at the US Open, often times it actually looked forceful. The 2nd serve was still getting spun by her and crushed by her opponent but her first serve in on the rise, her coach has been working on this with her. If this girl gets any kind of service she could really cause problems. Once the ball is in play she's a bulldog on the court. Don't do a lot of WTA but GL to you with the Schnyder play. Was gonna lay on Patty vs Ivanovic but passed, regretting it now. B

| I'm obviusly too late to bet on this bet... but i must admit i lean on Hantu to win over Patty... I do beleive that Hantu has too much in her game and the flatness of her... err... shots... when she hit it over the net, it can really make her opponents struggle to keep up the pace with her. Hantu has been too solid to be overlooked here... and i think at that odd, i'll take her on~ ![]() |

| Patty beat injured Ana in 1st rnd.....even with Ana being injured and was little over weight, Patty struggled in few games....That gave me a signal to stay away from PATTY today.... tough luck buddy....

| Salute to everyone. Some comments for everyone who didn't/couldn't follow thursday's matches. Petrova - Likhovtseva Nadia: Good, strong serve, not so agresive game, she rather prefered to stayed at the baseline, but it was a solid game. She looked like she really wants to earn as many points (to the rankings) here as she is capable. Elena made too many errors to have some chances in this match(if I remember well: Unforced errors: Nadia - 14, Elena 28) . I was so close to take Likhovtseva+some games, cuz on the paper, and in H2H, it seems she has a game for Nadia. Yes, she has for sure, but she felt on the beginning Nadia is too strong today. Mauresmo - Petrova tomorrow's match I didn't watch Mauresmo, but what I know, and saw shortcuts, she's very agressive on court. In their last meetings (Toronto), Momo wasn't too much aggressive, maybe she's going to change a tactics tomorrow. What is big disadvantage for Momo, that she didn't play all the match. It's differently for Nadia who played two full matches, and adapted to the court. That's why tomorrow Nadia will have to be agressive from the beginning...I think here is her chance, she knows how to defeat Amelie. But it's so tough to be against Momo...she love this surface, I see this match will be very close. So: Mauresmo to win, about-1.35@ - only stupid could bet on that odds in this situation, Petrova to win, about-2.8@ - worth a shot, very risky play, Petrova+some games(?) , rather a solid play. Briefly about Dementieva, and Clijsters We all know if her serve was working....but she had 2 or 3 aces in this match!! She's so quick on court, she's a killer from the baseline, she's so cute ...no matter, Natalie had many chance to win that one...her game was solid too. Although it was so many breaks, I think match on a high level. If you think that Clijsters might be tired after last week, you can quickly erase it from your mind. She is so confident right now, and I see her winning this tourney, or losing tight match in final. I'll skip this match, no bet for me, although I think Elena will put on her a big pressure from the baseline, might be even broken many times, but she could quickly break back because of Elena's serve. But miracles happen! I'll be cheering for Elena ![]() Hantuchova over Pennetta Sorry, but I didn't see nor Danka neither Flavia in this tourney. But here I'm quiet confident Daniela will win. The last time I was against her, and took a risk there... I analyzed quiet long Schnyder-Hantu's match, so was little suprise about the result. I can tell, lately I depended on one rule: if it wasn't a huge mistake by me in my choice some player to win, and then he lost, I choosed him/his in the next round...it usually works. It's general rule for me, that this player can be a tough in the next round to be defeaten. And I don't care Flavia won over Juju, and I don't think Flavia has a game suited for this surface. So, I'm on Danka tomorrow. I haven't too much time lately, so I try to write everything in one post, but I hope I'll be more active in the future. That's my poor thoughts, I hope I little helped ![]() Naught33, Buckery, $@M, and Happy, thanks for all words to me. Last edited by Black : 10-06-05 at 08:12 PM. |

| GL on the matches....they arent televised for me here so your insights are much appreciated by me...havent seen the lines but here are my quick thoughts i think petrova can take out amelie....just like nadia's game and amelie always seems to choke in big spots....if nadia can serve well she has a very good shot of winning this match as she should be able to overpower mauresmo.....plus games is def a good bet if its anything over 3.5 IMO KC will take out elena, elena has been struggling on her serve and didnt look like she was too much on top of her game against dechy today...cant see her taking out kim unless she serves flawlessly, i wouldnt bet on that match. Hantu has been playing solid tennis...panetta took our henin impressively, but i dont believe justine has played since the open, maybe she was still hurt, who knows....hantu has looked solid of late and should advance here as she has more weapons than does panetta.
