Thanks Naught, for a moment, i thought yesterday would be another one of those end of the world for me... *phew* ... well, can't complain no more, ended up won $7 yesterday!

just enuf for a meal...

only if Peer and the Philly Flyers (NHL) had won... oh well, one can not afford to be too greedy... like someone said, any day with no loss is a great day !

Things are sure quiet around here without Dul and Happy...

Well, since no other cappers around here, i might as well try my luck and post my picks for the finals today :

PETROVA over Vaidisova @ 1.80
Althogh Nicole,who's only 16 yrs old, is the hot stuff at this moment, i think it's too early for beat to beat a much more balanced and experienced player like Nadia.

PIERCE over Schiavone @ 1.60
Mary shows no sign of rust in this tourney after the USO, beating Safina in straight sets last round will help to boost her confidence even more, altho i doubt she need anymore of it... not to forget tho, Francesca only lost 10 games in her last 3 matches, which they're all Top10 players (Momo,Kutzy,Demen), but i think Mary has too much here for the Italian could handle...

LJUBUCIC over JCF @ 1.55
no need to explain, Ljuby is superb indoor... just gotta keep riding this train

BLAKE over Paradorn @ 1.41
H2H is 3-1 to Blake... Paradorn has came back from a set down twice in this tourney, against Tojo and Davide last round, which shows his ever fighting spirit. But Blake will use his speed to run down all the shots tonight and will force Paradorn to make errors... Blake easily dispatch O Rochus last round, i like him here again.

Kiefer - Andreev NO BET
Kiefer played alright against Kunitsyn, but Igor will get loads of support from hometown... hard to pick... Kiefer was REALLY quick on the court, so i think he'll do alright and may win... like Kiefer, but no bet for me...

Geeeezzzz~! What a choke by Nadia in the final set... she was up a break *4-3, looking to win her first ever tourney... and then just fall apart to lose 5-7...

Hope Pierce can win it back for me now... she's already up a set...

Hmmm... after looking at the cards again... i'm not quite sure about Grosjean now... this toruney is playing in Madrid, and Lopez is a spaniard... hard to predict how the corwds will effect Grasjean... might stay away in stead...

CALLERI to win against FERRER @ 1.95 (3 units)

Ferrer lost 2 first round matches coming into this tourney... straight sets to unknown and beaten 2-1 by A Martin... I watched Agustin played last night against Costa and he racked up like 14 aces ! Great touches at the net and strong hittings... Ferrer is great on dirt, but he'll struggle here on HC, esp after hearing the commentators saying most players struggle to time the ball on their first match at the venue...

Leaning on Grosjean to beat Ginepri... similar reasoning on the court adaptation, but also Ginepri is back to his pre-summer form... Grosjean didn't play particularly well against Lopez, and was somewhat lucky to win cuz Lopez lost his cool and injured his right foot, but i think his defensive play should do it for him... no play yet, mayb later on to see how the line moves...

for WTA, JANKOVIC to beat Molik... @ 1.50 (5 units)

Molik is struggling for form recently after the injury... to my surprise, the odd for Jelena has been moving upward from 1.48 to 1.50 now... Even though Jelena just came out from the first round loss against Sesil 1-6, 2-6, but i think Molik is in even more trouble... Dated back to March, she lost 7 out of 8 first round matches...
Also, Jelena is 13-9 in Europe this year, compare to 2-4 for Molik...

GL on the plays SAM, i dont like most of the lines for tomorrow, ones i was looking at were oli rochus and karlovic...not sure im gonna play them though...might just lay off after the brutal day...hoping others have input...

grosjean/robby is a tough one to call...gros had a tough match w lopez today, robby is struggling since the open but he can def win this match..molik/jankovic is also unpredictable to me, i agree molik has been struggling but im not a huge fan of jankovic either....calleri i like..ferrer has been ass of late, his loss last week was awful

After the OVER came thru on MNF, i feel much better, altho still in the 'minus' zone of late... I've 3 bets on tonight : Dechy (2 units), Jankovic (5) and Calleri (3)... let's see whether I'm really as bad as THE FADE MACHINE and am i worthy of the challenge...
