1* Free MLB Pick on Toronto Blue Jays +148

I really like the value here with Toronto as a division home dog. The Blue Jays are fresh off a 10-3 win on Tuesday and have won 3 of 5 overall. No denying that Boston is the more talented team, but the Red Sox are just 3-4 in their last 7.

The real key is the starting pitching matchup and the edge Toronto has in that department. Blue Jays will send out Aaron Sanchez, who has a very respectable 3.88 ERA in 10 starts, including a 3.13 ERA in 4 home starts. Toronto has won 6 of his last 8 home starts.

Sanchez did have to leave his last start early against Chicago because of a blister, which he believes was caused by the cold weather. Either way, Sanchez has been the guy to back after not going deep in his previous outing. Toronto is 4-0 in Sanchez's last 4 starts after he threw 4 or fewer innings in his previous start.

Red Sox will counter with Rick Porcello, who has an awful 7.10 ERA and 1.841 WHIP in 4 road starts. Porcello also owns a poor 5.57 ERA in 24 career starts against the Blue Jays. Take Toronto!

MLB | Red Sox vs Blue Jays
Play on: Red Sox -142 at pinnacle

It is Game 3 of a four-game set between these AL East rivals and we have seen two blowouts. While baseball bettors might not be calling for another shellacking, they have moved the Boston up 20 cents to -155 over the Blue Jays. Starters Rick Porcello (3-4, 4.80) and Aaron Sanchez (3-4, 3.88) are hardly feel good operators and are susceptible to blowup outings. This is an unsettling selection, but the Red Sox are 15-5 north of the border and the Jays are 1-13 off an upset win over a division rival as a home underdog.
