LA Lakers at Portland 10:00 ET

Trailblazers over Lakers - I had to do a double take when I saw the line of this game with the feeling that Los Angeles should be the favorite, Los Angeles is looking to get to 10 games over .500 while the Blazers are struggling to get to the break-even point. These two have met twice before November 3rd and they split those games each winning on the other sides court. This time the home team take advantage. Take PORTLAND!

Minnesota at San Antonio 8:00 ET

T’wolves (+) over Spurs - One game separates these two clubs with San Antonio having the 28 wins to 27 win advantage. But, it is Minnesota that has won the past five meetings and eight of the past 10 encounters. In a scheduling oddity this is the third meeting of the season and the fifth straight meeting being played in Minnesota. The Wolves Anthony Edwards is a game time decision. Take MINNESOTA!

Boston at Atlanta 7:30 ET

Hawks (+) over Celtics - Atlanta returns home after four straight road games the last two against the Lakers and Trailblazers and have actually played eight of nine on the road. It has been a year to the day since last these two met a game that the Hawks won along with four of the past five meetings. Although, the Hawks have dropped their last two games and they feel that ‘less is more’ as the team rejoices the Trae Young trade. Take ATLANTA!

BYU at Texas Tech 8:00 ET

Cougars (+) over Red Raiders - This should be one of the better games of the day with a combined conference record of 7-1. BYU has won 13 straight games and 12 straight in Big-12 action and Texas Tech is 9-0 at home with their only conference loss was at No. 7 Houston and but the covered. The Red Raiders has a pair of starters that will be in the NBA next season and every member of the Cougars is older and has more experience. Take BRIGHAM YOUNG!

Michigan State at Washington 6:00 ET

Huskies (+) over Spartans - This is only the second meeting between these two since merging into the Big Ten with Michigan State cruising to an 88-54 home win as a favorite of 14-points. The Spartans coming rolling in with three straight wins and 6-of-7 while Washington just lost 82-72 at home to Michigan as an underdog of 13-points but defeated Ohio State as week ago showing that they are capable. If you compare the records of these two you should be tempted to lay the points…DON’T! Take WASHINGTON!

Arizona at Central Florida 4:00 ET

Panthers (+) over Wildcats - My first instinct was to use this game as my top play and I really hadn’t done much in dept research but now I have and I like what I see. Arizona has been a beast and I made one mistake against them with TCU a week ago and have reservations that I could be chasing a winner against a team that will not be beaten…but, not one is going undefeated. Panthers coach Johnny Dawkins knows what it takes to be a winner and he believes his squad has reached that point. Take CENTRAL FLORIDA!

Iowa at Indiana 2:00 ET

Hawkeyes (+) over Hoosiers - Both teams enter on there wrong end of streaks with Iowa having dropped their last three games and the Hoosiers have lost their past two. The Hawkeyes won the lone meeting last season and have won five of the past six meetings. Of the three losses suffered by the Hawks a pair were to ranked teams No. 5 Purdue and No. 16 Illinois. Indiana’s problems stem for a coaches son that isn’t ding the job. Look for this visitor to get their first road I win after four losses. Take IOWA!

Nebraska at Northwestern 4:00 ET

Wildcats (+) over Cornhuskers - This is sort of like an East meets West or ships passing in the night with Nebraska undefeated and Northwestern having lost their last four. Both teams  have played to their records with the Cornhuskers at 10-7 ATS and the Wildcats a dreadful 6-11. Huskers have won 2-of-3 meetings with the Wildcats winning the previous six. Nebraska should be ranked higher and so should be this point spread. Take NORTHWESTERN!

Louisville at Pittsburgh 8:00 ET

Cardinals (+) over Panthers - I’ve got to do it! If I don’t I would question what I am doing in this business. I will explain. On Wednesday Pittsburgh who was on a 3-game losing streak was a virtual Pick-em situation at Georgia Tech. I felt that the Yellow Jackets were much better and the line was an invitation. I posted the Panthers and they won and now they return home to play Louisville who has lost 3-of-4 including a home loss to Virginia Tuesday. Big bang difference in talent. Take LOUISVILLE!

San Francisco at Seattle 8:00 ET

49ers/Seahawks OVER -  Okay, lets take a quick look at the scores of their two clashes this season. In week one the ‘totals’ price was 42.5 and it was never threatened in the 17-13 final. In the final week of the season the ‘total’ was 48.5 and the final was 13-3. In the first game Seahawks had 173 yards of offense and in the second game it was SF that had just 230 yards. Now, with a grand amount of 46 points scored combined by both teams in both games the total for this encounter opened 45.5. I am sure it will drop and it will go OVER!

Buffalo at Denver 4:30 ET

Broncos over Bills - Buffalo has won four of the five past meetings and 7-of-9 going 8-1 ATS. The Bills have won their past two games and six of their last eight. and actually opened the favorite over the No. 1 seed who is playing at home with extra (bye last week) rest. Last week, I posted Buffalo and they broke a five game road playoff losing streak taking down Jacksonville 27-24. The line has moved and correctly to Denver as the slight favorite. If it remains that way I will be surprised, as I believe the pubic will back Josh Allen. But, a one-man team does not work in the post season. Take DENVER!

San Francisco at Seattle 8:00 ET

Seahawks (-) over 49ers - These two split their season series and the games it could not have been a more contrasting. Opening the year in Seattle, the 49ers (-3.5) dominated in a 17-13 victory. In the season final the rolls were reversed as the Seahawks (-2.5) manhandled San Francisco in their home field to clinch the No. 1 seed. I understand that the Niners have been playing short-handed, but always seem to find a way to survive. grit and the will to win is a hard combination to play against. But, this line is so way out of whack to books aren’t giving the visitor much of a chance. Take SEATTLE!
