Rodon has been ok on the road, posting a 3.67 ERA in 13 starts. Baz has been terrible at home, posting a 6.54 ERA in 12 home starts this season. The Yankees lead the American League in runs scored on the road. New York leads the season series 7-4 and with only two games to go they have the season series locked up. The Yankees have won four of their last five road games, while the Rays have lost four of their last six home games. Baz has given up 14 runs in his last three starts and 16 runs in his last three home starts. The Yankees will add to those totals tonight.

Pittsburgh took game one of their series with Toronto. The Blue Jays will send Max Scherzer to the mound. He is 3-2, with a 3.83 ERA to the mound. The Pirates will counter with Mitch Keller. He is 5-11, with a 4.13 ERA. Pittsburgh’s best bat will be sitting this one out. Scherzer has given up two or fewer runs in each of his last three starts. Heller has not been good this season and the Blue Jays have the offense to take advantage.

Play on Toronto. This is a 3% play

Hunter Brown has allowed only 40 runs in 143 innings pitched. The Astros put up only 4.27 runs per game. Tarik Skubal has allowed only 41 runs in 151 innings pitched. This looks like a pitchers' duel on paper, but the Tigers have gotten their bats going, and the Astros are hitting lefties well this season. Skubal has allowed some runs in his last couple of starts, and with a number at 7, I will play on the OVER.

This should be a good pitching matchup. Hunter Brown is scheduled to start for Houston. He is 10-5 with a 2.42 ERA in 143.2 innings pitched. His ERA has risen to 3.12 on the road. Houston is putting up 4.0 runs per game, which is 22nd in baseball. Tarik Skubal is scheduled to make the start for the Detroit Tigers. He is 11-3 with a 2.42 ERA in 152.1 innings pitched. He has a 2.98 ERA at home. Detroit is putting up 4.97 runs per game, which is 6th. This could turn into a pitcher’s duel. The Tigers have started to get their bats going again, which is trouble for anyone. Skubal gets the job done in this one.

The Dream had their five game winning streak snapped but did pick up a win last time out. The Aces have won seven in a row. These two met less than a month ago, with the Aces winning by 15 in Vegas. The Aces are 12-5 at home this season, and reigning MVP A’ja Wilson has been playing like the MVP she is. She had 24 points and 12 boards in the first meeting between these two teams. The Aces keep things rolling in this one.

Connecticut has won eight of the last ten against Washington, but has lost the last two by a combined score of 194-152. The Mystics are a young team, but they are a better team and have a shot at the playoffs. Washington is one of the best defensive teams in the WNBA and they can play solid defense.

Two of the top teams in the WNBA face off tonight. The Minnesota Lynx are in first while the  New York Liberty are ranked third. The Lynx are on a six-game winning streak while the Liberty have lost two in a row.  The Lynx have won all three games between the two this season. Minnesota  is putting up 86.9 points per game this season and on the defensive end, they are giving up 75.8 points per game. The New York Liberty have lost three of their last four games. They are putting up 86.5 points per game and are allowing 81.6 points per game. As good as the Lynx offense has been this year, they have been even better in August, putting up 90.2 points per game this month while New York has stopped to 81.9 points per game. Minnesota is 4-1 ATS in its last five games, and 5-1 ATS in its last six games played on the road. New York is 1-9-1 ATS in the last 11 games overall and 0-4-1 ATS in the last five games against Minnesota. The Lynx are 8 and 1 overall and 6-2-1 ATS without their best payer on the court. New York is without its second leading scorer, Breanna Stewart.
