This play is all about Troy Melton. He has been outstanding for the Tigers this season. He has allowed one earned run or less in seven of his last eight starts and has posted a 1.13 road ERA. The Tigers' offense has been putting up 8.4 runs per game in their last 10. Logan Webb has pitched well, but the offensive production and bullpen help have struggled.

Play on Detroit. This is a 3% play.

Take the OVER in this battle of the top two teams in the AL Central. Chicago holds on to a three-game lead over Cleveland. The White Sox are 35-22 at home, while the Guardians are 30-29 on the road. Cleveland has lost four of their last five games, allowing six or more runs in those losses. Cantillo has allowed nine runs in his last two starts. Martin has allowed 4+ earned runs in four of his last five outings.

 Randy Dobnak has been the more consistent pitcher, allowing one or fewer earned runs in five straight starts made this season. Boyd has been good this season but has been inconsistent at times lately. KC can struggle to score runs, and the Cubs have one of the best offenses in the league. I look for Boyd to get back on track against a poor Royals offense.

The Brewers have won four of their last five and have a huge pitching advantage in this game. That is why I will be taking the Brewers on the run line. The Twins will send Connor Prielipp to the mound. He is 3-5 with a 4.75 ERA and 81 strikeouts this season. Jacob Misiorowski will go for the Brewers. He is 11-5 with a 1.63 ERA and 195 strikeouts this season. The Twins will struggle to score and the Brewers will win by multiple runs.

Play on Milwaukee minus 1,5 runs. This is a 3% play.

New York will be going for a sweep of the Braves by sending Schlittler to the mound. He has allowed two earned runs or fewer in three of his last five outings. The Braves will counter with Holmes. He has allowed three earned runs in three of his last four starts. The Yankees have won three of their last four games. The Yankees are 29-25 at home, and the Braves are 31-27 on the road. I will take the better pitcher in this one.
