The College Football Comp play is on BYU at 3:30 eastern. The Cougars cashed big for us last week as a our dog of the year winning outright over Notre Dame. The knee jerk reaction would be to play against BYU an assume a flat trap type game. However, after a Thorough scouring through the database we see just the opposite. Week 14 or earlier Road favorites of 5 or more off a home dog win at +9 or higher against a top 10 opponent are a perfect 8-0 straight up and to the spread and win on average by 25 points per game. BYU has won the last 3 in the series with Central Florida all by 13+ points. The Knights are 3-3 and have lost their last 2. Rob notes that Game 5 or earlier road dogs of 4 or less with no wins, rest and playing off a home spread loss in a game that went over the total is are 7-1 straight up vs a team like Utah with less than 2 wins. The Pelicans blew the lead and lost their home opener to Indiana while the Jazz were beaten very easily in Memphis. The Pelicans have won the last 8 in the series with Utah and awe will back them tonight plus the points.
The Friday night Hot side is on North Carolina Central plus the points. Game 308901 at 5:30 eastern. Rob notes that home favorites from -2 to -19 in week 7 or later that are undefeated at home like Delaware St that are playing off a road loss and are taking on a Team lie NC CENTRAL that are off a home favored loss and playing with revenge are 0-8 to the spread since 1997. NC Central is playing with 17 point home favored loss revenge from last season after they had blowout wins over Delaware St in the prior 2 years. The 2026 NY. Jets Team Preview and Totals Wins Prediction
The 2026 Jets are now in their second season under Coach Aaron Glenn and after a dismal 3-14 record. The Jets made several upgrades on both sides of the ball. Most Notably, they bring back aging former Jet Quarterback Geno Smith. While he is not the ideal guy for this team which is on the younger side, Geno can Sling it and while he may wind up throwing as many picks as Touchdowns the Jets should find the end zone more often and move the ball. They have an Improving offensive line and are bringing back starting Running back Breece Hall and star Wide out Garrett Wilson who appears healthy after an injury that saw him miss most of the season last year. The Jets also drafted the ultra athletic Tight end Kenyon Sadiq who can lineup in the slot and get down field and give the Jets a whole different look. Sadiq should be ready for opening day despite an early injury They also drafted a solid Wide out in Omar Cooper who will be a big threat both deep and on the tertiary routes. On Defense the Jets added perhaps the best player in the draft in David Bailey who is a solid edge rusher and has a high motor. He should make an immediate impact along with a solid free agent signing in Tvondre Sweat who will stabilize the defensive line. The Jets brough back Demario Davis as well as Star Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and Jarvis Brownlee the the defensive backfield. This defense should be much better than expected and with the Jets having a decent offense they should not be out on the field all day like years past. The Jets will likely go Over the 5.5 win total this year as they have made several changes and should benefit from playing the 5th easiest schedule this year. Last season they were last in creating turnovers and with the defensive upgrades this season they will be far better off this season. Finally, The Patriots will likely regress a bit off the big bounce back season and Miami is not expected to be very good this year, so the Jets may get some rare divisional wins, even at 2-4 in divisional play they could get 6+ wins.
