The Nationals have the second highest team ERA in the majors and are the second worst fielding team in the league. Don't expect improvement from them in this game with Miles Mikolas on the hill.
Mikolas should not be anywhere near a starting rotation. He has an 0-3 record with an 11.49 ERA and 2.17 WHIP. Mikolas can expect no help from a Washington bullpen that has the third highest ERA in the majors.
Washington is giving up an average of 7.4 runs in its last seven games. That includes allowing 17 runs to the Giants in the first two games of this series. The Nationals can score, though. They rank second in the majors averaging 5.6 runs per game. They also are fourth in batting average and OPS.
Giants starter Robbie Ray has been pitching well, but at 34 he is past his prime.
