Mike Lundin
Stars/Capitals NHL Free Pick
The Washington Captials are 4-6 in their last 10 games but only 2-4 in their last six, and they're coming off back-to-back losses. This will be their first home game since returning home from a five-game road trip, which historically has proven to be a tough spot for teams. The Caps lost 6-0 in Arizona in their last game, they are 0-6 in their last 6 after allowing 5 goals or more in their previous game.
The Dallas Stars are also 4-6 in their last 10 games and off back-to-back road losses, but they are a solid 8-3-2 on the road for the season. Also, note that the Stars are 10-1 SU in their last 11 games when playing on the road against Washington.
2* FREE PICK ON DALLAS STARS.

We think the undervalued Coyotes are worth the price of admission here. Philly comes in gassed now after B2B extra-time wins over its rival Pittsburgh. Now on the road here on the West Coast and with much more high-profile games at Colorado and Nashville up next, not only does this set up as a letdown spot, but also a look-ahead; consider the Coyotes on Thursday night!

Rocketman Sports FREE NHL play Thursday 12-7-23
Toronto @ Ottawa (7:05 PM EST)
Play On: Toronto -122
The Toronto Maple Leafs travel to Ottawa to take on the Senators on Thursday night. Toronto is 11-10 overall this year while Ottawa comes in with a 10-10 overall record on the season. Ottawa is allowing 4.4 goals per game against division opponents this year. Toronto is 6-3 overall vs Ottawa past 3 years including 3-1 when playing at Ottawa. We'll recommend a small play on Toronto tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky

Sean Murphy
Thursday NHL Free play. My selection is on Toronto over Ottawa at 7:05 pm et on Thursday.
This is a simple fade of the Senators after they stunned the Rangers by a 6-2 score on home ice two nights ago. The Maple Leafs have been idle since Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Bruins. While that defeat was disappointing, Toronto had to be happy to at least come away with a point, tying the game in the final seconds of the third period. This is a revenge game for the Leafs after they dropped a 6-3 decision on home ice against the Sens back in November. Note that Toronto has held opponents to just 1.7 goals while outscoring them by 0.7 goals on average in its last seven road games following a one-goal loss. Take Toronto.
Ricky Tran
Ricky's 1* play on ARI.
Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. In order to make the grade, all his premium picks must meet several important criteria. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant. Here in this game the recent history of these two teams is particularly significant.
- The Coyotes are 5-0 in their last 5 games.
- The Coyotes are 4-1 in their last 5 home games.
- The Flyers are 9-10 in their last 19 road games.
Verdict: The Value is on the home favorite.
Stephen Nover
The Maple Leafs usually can be counted on to produce at least three goals. They've scored a minimum of three goals in 10 of their last 12 games.
Toronto faces Ottawa, which is giving up an average of four goals per game during their last four games if you discount a 2-0 shutout of Seattle. The Maple Leafs also catch the Senators without injured defenseman Thomas Chabot.
The key is how many goals can the Senators score?
I believe Ottawa will more than hold its own in the scoring column. The Senators just had their best offensive showing of the season beating the Rangers at home and goalie Igor Shesterkin, 6-2, two days ago.
(Editor's note: Stephen Nover has three premium Thursday plays today in addition to this free selection across three sports headed by his NBA Tournament Game of the Month. Stephen is on a three-week 64 percent NBA hot streak and also is 13-6 on his last 19 college basketball plays.)
